Visa Information 🛂

US citizens are required to obtain a visa to enter Ghana prior to travel. Here's what you need to know:

Option 1 — Apply in Advance (Recommended)✦ Single Entry Visa — $100 (valid for 3 months) ✦ Multiple Entry Visa — $180 (valid for up to 5 years)You'll need the following to apply:

Valid passport (must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel date)
Two passport-style photos
Proof of yellow fever vaccination 💉
Copy of your return flight or travel itinerary
Hotel booking confirmation (serves as your invitation letter)

Option 2 — Visa on Arrival

Ghana typically offers a visa on arrival option for diaspora travelers during select periods. African Union nationals from countries outside of ECOWAS can obtain a visa on arrival valid for 30 days, typically costing $$$

⚠️ However — we strongly recommend applying in advance rather than relying on visa on arrival. Policies can change and we never want anything to stand between you and The Home Coming.
